Most photographers end up carrying several remotes: one per camera brand, each with its own batteries and buttons. BT Cam replaces that collection with a single app that talks to your camera over Bluetooth.
Control one camera or several
BT Cam supports more than 250 cameras across Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Olympus and OM System, Blackmagic Design, GoPro, Panasonic Lumix, and Pentax and Ricoh. It connects and reconnects automatically to cameras you have already paired, and it can drive several of them at once for multi-angle shots.
Beyond the shutter, the app covers the controls a dedicated remote offers and then some: a smart shutter that fires as soon as focus is achieved, video start and stop with automatic restart when a time limit is reached, timers for exposure, interval, and shot count, a shutter lock for burst, bulb, and interval work, auto and manual focus that respects the camera’s own settings, zoom on power and prime lenses, and geotagging for every frame.
Built on Bluetooth, not Wi-Fi
Bluetooth keeps power draw low and leaves the camera’s Wi-Fi radio free, so features such as eye-tracking keep working and the camera is less likely to overheat during a long session. Cameras without built-in Bluetooth can still join through external triggers from NiSi, MIOPS, and Triggertrap.
For filmmakers
BT Cam goes past stills. Multi-camera teams can align and sync recording without extra gear, use frame-accurate timecode with Tentacle Sync and Blackmagic ATEM, and start or stop recording from a Tilta Nucleus follow-focus wheel — useful when the camera sits on a crane or jib you cannot reach. Timecode, sync, and expanded frame rates are part of BT Cam Pro.
Available across platforms
BT Cam runs on iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux, and as a progressive web app. A purchase grants access on every platform, and a free trial lets you confirm compatibility with your camera before buying.
